It says there's a limit of how many times it can be installed on a computer. Since i've had different hard drives in the computer, and upgrade every once in a while, it shouldn't matter. As long as i'm not lending the disc out to someone, and am the only one to install it in my computers, why should there be a limit? Granted it's the 2003 version, but at the time it was $70 and very valuable. Do i just throw the disc away and go get the new version, or do you think if i contact Symantec, they would give me a new registration key so i can continue using the software.

If you are using Windows XP SP2 Nortons 2003 is not compatible. Please see the MTKB article below for details.
Symantec has really gotten tough with it's licensing. Most of the older programs are no longer supported. I doubt they will issue you a new key. You will probably have to buy the new one.
Even so, you may have problems installing the new one if there was EVER an older version on the system.
