I've been trying to download from a cd Norton Systemworks but it won't work..starts but then sounds like it is winding down and quits...can anyone help me...

I have norton internet securities and norton systemworks on my comp,but its still slow.WHY??

My computers cpu usage speed always reads at 100% even if your not doing anything. I got the Norton Systemworks to help out but it still runs really slugish. Im not a computer expert but if anyone can give me some help I would greatly appreciate it. Its just over all running really slow and I can't understand why. Please give me some help......

Dont use norton. It creates too much problems when u need to uninstall it. U cant remove it fully from ur computer ur self. To remove norton u shall hv to use Norton Removal Tool which is available on norton website. Use avg instead, it is free also

i think the norton itself that making your computer slow. i don't use it. try McAfee for antivirus..um you check what other applications that running..look for the not important one and get rid of them using Add or Remove program.
Clean your cache,

then Boot into safe mode, then go to Start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup , and run disk cleanup .

Why is my computer worse after installing Norton SystemWorks?

I just installed Norton SystemWorks and now my computer is slower and I have problems getting online. I had to remove yahoo messenger to get my system to work, and it is still slower than before by a very noticeable amount. I bought the stuff to make sure my system ran well, not worse. I want to have system protection, but that's useless if the system doesn't work right! Any suggestions or answers would be appreciated.

However.... check out the price Symantec will charge because at this point in the year, you can frequently find Norton AntiVirus 2006, including a 1-year subscription, available in "computer" stores for almost nothing (after rebate).
if u have system works,ur can update 2 of them but the antivirus is more important.contact norton support for more info at info@symantec.com
Don't do either. Go buy a new version, mail in for the rebate and you get 12 months of free updates because you upgraded. Costs less this way.

Please uninstall all traces of your Norton Systemworks and go with one of the excellent free, much smaller, firewalls and anti-virus programs available via the internet. My PC problems were solved when I did exactly that. I currently use the free Zone Alarm and Antivir Personal Edition. Plus for spyware I have Ad-Aware and Spybot which are also free.

It has been my experience with commercial software that "new features" and "latest edition" are synonymous with "big and bloated" and "guaranteed to slow your computer to a crawl." Good Luck.
