i have norton systemworks premier 2006 with 2 cd's.first is the main installation cd and the other is the rescue cd. the rescue cd should be bootable but is not so how do i make it bootable.nero burns bootable cd but needs a specific file which is used for booting purpose.if anyone has the rescue cd which is bootable can you extract the file from boot sector of the cd and mail it to me. if you do not know how to extract the file give me your e-mail address %26 i will mail you the complete procedure.

What you are asking for is a violation of copyrights. These files are copyrighted by Microsoft or Symantec, so anybody who e-mails them to you is engaging in piracy. Not a good idea.
Let's try something else: what surprises me is that the Norton rescue CD is not bootable. Is your computer set to boot from a CD? If not, go into the BIOS to enable that (you need to change the "boot sequence" in such a way that your CD or DVD drive appears before your harddrive).
If booting from CD is enabled, and it still doesn't work, that looks like the CD is damaged. In that case, call up Symantec and ask for a free replacement.
