I need to COMPLETELY remove Norton Systemworks 2003 from my computer.?

I tried to un-install Norton Systemworks 2003 using the Add/Remove function, but that only caused problems with my computer, creating problems when first starting up my computer. So what I need to so is completely remove Norton from my computer. Symantec.com offers absolutely no help with this problem, they say that the technical help for this product has been deleted because it is outdated, their ONLY advice is to up-grade to a newer version. I now use McAfee Firewall %26 Anti-Virus, so I do not need the Norton system anymore.

DO NOT Use mcafee virus fire wall it was rated the top ten worst virus protection on the web up date to a newer verison of norton
Before you go into the system registry where one little mistake can ruin your entire computer, you should first bootup in safe mode and remove Norton from there. Just restart your PC and press F8 when the Windows logo appears
You can go to START, RUN and then type regedit.

This will take you to the system registry. Click on the plus signs to expand the folder. Find the folder named Software, it's alphabetical lisdting of all software. Find Norton and delete it.
